Project Financing

Whatever the cost of your proposed energy efficiency projects, Applied Energy can introduce you to a variety of mechanisms that, in most cases, can replace up-front capital costs with 12, 18 or 24 months purchase programs where the monthly costs are paid out of the monthly energy savings.

In certain markets, utility companies offer substantial incentives toward the purchase of energy-efficient projects and technologies that can pay for 30-70% of the installed cost of the projects.

Applied Energy helps understand the many options and ensures you comply with the rules for such incentives.

Types:

  • Project Financing for Energy Efficiency / Reduction
  • Grants & Direct Cash Incentives
  • Rebates
  • Tax Incentives and Tax Credits
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act or ARRA, is the name given to the federal government's stimulus package.  You would think you could take advantage of it already, but not so.  Most states have not yet finished organizing themselves to allocate those federal funds.  Until they do, the only funds available are for federal projects.  State projects and businesses seeking funds for projects that are not federal, must wait for their state to finish organizing.

The Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE)

DSIRE is a comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility, and federal incentives and policies that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. It is a truly excellent resource.

www.DSIREUSA.org

Established in 1995 and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, DSIRE is an ongoing project of the N.C. Solar Center and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC).

DSIRE is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), primarily through the Office of Planning, Budget and Analysis (PBA). The site is administered by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), which is operated for DOE by the Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC.
