Our CEMS offers a holistic, comprehensive approach to energy management that’s significantly more flexible than most other energy monitoring systems. It was developed and is maintained as an outsourced service.
Whatever the source of the operational data, it can be gathered and transmitted wirelessly, then centralized in one system with many analytical capabilities:
Core Capabilities
- Data Gathering- Wireless data capture from many sources, regardless of data format
- Centralization- Wireless transmission and consolidation of data to an internal server or via the web
- Analysis- Detailed analysis of energy consumption, temperatures, pressures, flows etc. by
- Equipment - meters/sensors
- Occupancy - # of people in a space
- Production – widgets/kWh
- Graphs & Reports- Graphical presentation of results reveals many (hidden) problems. Multi-variable analysis allows overlaying of multiple data points, which helps diagnose causes of complex problems.
- Recommendations – behavioral, mechanical and electrical adjustments, repairs and upgrades
- Financial analysis – calculations of simple payback and IRR for various energy reduction investments.
Additional Features/Benefits
- Alarms- Via email or telephone, based on exceeding customer-pre-set parameters
- Controls- Connection to existing or new control systems for automated actions
- Benchmarking & Carbon Foot-printing - Overall facility or specific equipment energy consumption compared with similar facilities or equipment, with normalization for climate (latitude and daily temps).
- Integration -with existing Building Management Systems, as well as Fire and Security systems
- Billing - Tenant sub-billing and bill auditing
Longer Term Features/Benefits
- Early Warning- Use of specialized sensing (electrical and ultrasonic) for early warning of mechanical or electrical failure or leaks (e.g. in HVAC or compressed air systems).
- Power Quality Monitoring - monitoring the continuity of power supplied to equipment, electronic controls and computers, including
- Voltage/amperage "spikes" and "sags"
- Momentary or longer term outages.
- Harmonics & grounding issues
